Curtis Davies shows Arsenal what they are missing

Curtis Davies shows Arsenal what they are missing

After the midweek joy of watching a few kids show some heart in the cup, it was back to the Pathetic, spineless, clueless heartless bunch of overpaid kunts that disgrace the shirt of Arsenal FC!

We showed heart & desire against Man Utd last week but its now clear that this bunch of Arsenal players dont have the appetite to do it week in week out. Its all very well and good turning up and putting it in vs Man Utd, But to now lose 4 games before Dec has to put a final nail in the coffin of the nonexistence title challenge.

For the 4th time now this season we have had to watch this garbage, Most of the players walked around like they didn’t care.Cesc has been playing like he has a summer move on his mind and is clearly not the same player as last season. Denilson clearly is not providing enough cover for the back four. Almunia is making too many mistakes and most of all. Wengers tactics have become a cancer to the team.WHY did he play bendtner alone up front at home? its not the first time he has done this. At Stoke Wenger got the tactics wrong and lets not forget the subs that changed the game vs Spurs.

No doubt Wenger will blame the ref for our latest defeat, But the sad fact was we got played off the park today for 90mins. From the start Villa took the game to us and attack with pace with the dangerous Agbonlahor & Young.

At the back they had 2 CBs in Davies ( who we should of signed 2 years ago ) and Larrson who showed Arsenal how to defend.

In the 90mins I could not remember the Villa keeper making a serious save.

Ive said it before, Only 1 person can take the blame for this circus at Arsenal and that is Mr Burns aka Wenger who was toothless in the transfer market in the summer.

This is what you get for being so fcking tight, You only have yourself to blame Wenger.

Wenger hails Sir Alex Ferguson’s half-century

    By Chris Harris

Arsène Wenger has paid tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson as the Manchester United manager prepares to celebrate 50 years in football.

The Scot will bring up his half-century on Saturday after making his debut for Queen’s Park as a 16-year-old on November 15, 1958. Ferguson scored the only goal that day and has enjoyed a glittering career in management with Aberdeen and United.

Wenger arrived at Arsenal a decade after Ferguson was appointed at Old Trafford and the two men have been big rivals ever since. The Frenchman was full of praise for Ferguson when the topic cropped up at his pre-match press conference.

“50 years is an unbelievable achievement and there is a massive passion behind that,” said Wenger.

“In his case it is a massive achievement because for most of those years he has been under pressure at the top, top level. When you know how much it hurts to lose a game… I read of players going into management and they discover how much it hurts to lose a game. When you say 50 years, yes he has won many trophies but believe me there is a lot of suffering involved.”

Wenger is also one of the game’s elder statesmen. So can he envisage himself emulating Ferguson’s half-century?

“Maybe I could do it if I have good health,” said Wenger. “I have been involved for about 40 years now. Maybe it would be with an Under-21 team somewhere, or as a director somewhere. As long as I am healthy I would like to stay in football.”

Fucking Pathetic. Still wants to be with an under 21 team or should I say Under 2 team

  7. fd says:

Couldn’t agree more..This team’s attitude is nothing more than pathetic.

And to those of you who’s going to excuse the performance of the team today: F*** off.

  8. Moray says:

yup. no invention, no heart, no width. Bendtner isn’t good enough (how long did it take Wenger to get rid of Aliadiere), defence is porous at best and Fabregas is just counting the days until he can get a transfer. I don’t think we’ll make the CL qualifying this year. Let’s just hope Eduardo comes back better than ever, or Wenger opens his wallet in Jan. We are severely lacking in certain areas. New captain required too.

  9. harryo says:

your right this a fukin circus. got lucky against utd last week which papered over the sheer spineless team this is . gallas , fabregas, ade, dennilson , the list goes on. big time charlies who only turn up for the big matches on tv round the world. for fuks sake put on the carling cup team who even if they get beat will at least shome passion and commitment unlike this shire of pansies. no coicidence when spurs beat us 5-1 in the carling cup some of these pansies were brought in to second leg to help us get to the final . did they fuk. rather see us fightin relegation with a bit of passion than this spinelless bunch of overpaid cowards masquarading in an arsenal shirt

  10. rogue says:

You are right. Pathetic. Its about time people faced up to it rather than try and defend Wenger all the time. These players don’t show enough heart. The kids know more about the meaning of the word fight than pussies like Adebayor. And when are we going to get this godforsaken joke of a defence sorted out? Fans paying hundreds of pounds a season deserve more than weak platitudes from the manager and the board. Fukkking sort it out you jokers! And get some more english grit in the side!

  11. Spike says:

Once again, I don’t really agree with most of your stuff but, I think we should….

Blame the players, as this was the same effin team that played United, so should’ve been good enough, so to say he once again Wenger got his tactics wrong is bollocks. But thats your usual language innit!!!

Wenger has fucked up, seriously, by failing to address problems with the defence STILL. Why the fuck someone like Keown or even Bould aint his number 2/defensive coach is beyond me? We get done by the same balls all the effin time! I’d play Djourou NOW and have been saying this all season long! What the fuck has the guy gotta do to get in that shakey, lack lostre, weak defence???

But the main thing is the attitude, as if they just need to turn up to beat so-called inferior opposition! They STILL do that after losing 4 effin times! Un-fuckin-believable!

This season reminds me soooo much of the 05/06 season where we lost shit loads of league games but got the CL Final. Well, we effin better get to the latter, coz we’re well on the way to doing the former!

  12. liverpool fan says:

i also agree, arsenal are shite!!!!! hahaha ill be surprised if they make it top 4.

  13. Family Enclosure Man says:

I agree with a lot of this. Bendtner was terrible and should haev been subbed at h/t. Overall, the big weakness was in the middle of the park; as I watched the first half I was thinking that my theory that Denilson – who is basically a VG player in my view – cannot sustain the mental commitment and concentration of playing 3 or 4 consecutive PL/CL games on the trot was being borne out again; and then it struck me that he wasn’t actually playing that badly (although he was slow to track back and support defence sometimes). Sadly, the real problem was Fabregas, who played with absolutely no urgency and little invention. If AW had the balls, he’d have taken Fab off and replaced him with Ramsey, who I’m sure would have injected a bit more zip and urgency into the centre of the park. Nasri struggled, but tried hard in the second half. Walcott kept trying too, in his fitful way.

    But Cesc had a mare.

I think he’s already in Barcelona in his mind.

  14. nzekwe Asugha says:

Wenger is deluded. The handwriting is already on the wall. Unless wenger accept that he has no team in this over paid nuggets, arsenal will kiss bye bye to top four.

  15. Val Kamara says:

Arsene is responsible for the mess in Arsenal today any time Arsenal win a big game especially against team like Man U wenger always take other teams for granted the philosophy of Wenger over the past three years is not helping Arsenal as a club with so much respect.
For me i will have to blame Wenger for the nonsense and humiliation of of our club i think it is high time this guy be kicked out of the Emirate for arsenal lark consistency from what i have observed the season is yet in the premature stage and we have lost four vital game small teams all of which we should have won but wenger’s philosophy has again let us down. My peak in this regard is that we are going trophy less again this season trust me if wenger doesnot change his attitude towards teams he consider as lesser compared to arsenal.he need to realise whenever these teams are playihng agaist arsenalto give everything just for them to either win or get a draw.

  16. crap says:

“Good result”!!! Those monies that AW & the board save can be used on later stage when we are not in top 4 = out of CL. While every season PL teams continue to strengthen their team, we are getting worse & worst!!! Talk cock every pre-season is no use… When reality kick in, we’ll see how good is Gunner in term of ability to challenge for silverware… One good news for AW & the board (if they still refuse to change), we gonna MAKE MORE MONEY BY END OF THIS SEASON AS CESC ETC GONNA BE TEMPTED BY OTHERS WHICH SHOW MORE AMBITION IN WINNING TROPHIES!!! As for AW & the board, good luck ya… May all the shit you proached all these while would still work for you!!!

  17. Manuel says:

you are the worst writer in the WORLD!

the fact that we were heartless etc etc etc is correct however.

    please give up writing…

  18. Danish Gooner says:

We got beat by a better team…………period.

  19. Attila says:

Its good to see more and more REAL fans are speaking their minds and coming out and showing a true d’Estaing for what this great club has become.

And for you all 15 year old that are now going to say ” Wenger made us great ”
    >>>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arsenal_F.C.#History

Wenger has made Arsenal FC into a farm. We develop players only with the purpose of selling them at a later date. Our players are hoes and the manager is nothing more then a pimp.

Yes Wenger was the man, Talking us to doubles and 49 games unbeaten but History is for the books and wikipedia. IF you are going to live in the past then watch the DVDs and enjoy the moments. We need a man with thunder in his belly and a rood up his ass to go out and sign world class players that are going to do the job TODAY and not in years to come.

    Manuel, Jog on son

  20. A.F.C says:

    your a spurs fan gooooooooooooooner

  21. HUS GOON says:

WERE FUCKIN SHIT….. YOU ARSENAL FANS THAT KEEP SAYING RELAX WENGER KNOWS BEST…… YOU FUCKIN MUGS!! WAKE UP THAT WAS 4 YEARS AGO!!! NOW ITS FINISHED!! WE HAVE NOT PROGRESSED SINCE VIEIRA THE LEG LEFT!! THE GOOD OLD DAYS! WE ARE A TEAM FULL OF REJECTS AND KIDS WHO ARE LIGHTWEIGHT AND COCKY ON THE BALL!! MAN UTD, CHELSEA, LIVERPOOL FOR THE PREM LEAGUE AND CHAMPS LEAGUE ALL THE WAY!!! FUCK YOU WENGER.. YOU STUBBORN OLD FUCK!! AND THIS TIGHT ARSED BOARD FULL OF CUNTS!!!

  22. goon says:

scumbag, i’m pissed off too, but arsene wenger is whats keeping us form getting beat 5-0 today moron. if things are this bad it would be worse without wenger, and if any1’s to blame its that stingy board who wouldnt fork up dough to liverpool for alonso, and udinese for inler. wenger is crafty in the market, but the board cant handle negotiations, we need David Dein back to finalise deals etc. u are disgrace to arsenal fan. football fans everywhere have to lose games here an there, real fans take it like a man, you arent no real fan, u are prawn sandwich, this aint your sport, its a working class game. the working class arsenal fans i meet including redaction are proud of our club and know we are the best club in the world even when we aint got the best team. what do you know about arsenal football club and trophyless seasons? i’mn fed up of you no brainers ruining the arsenal fans name. opposition fans laugh at you, for your no singing, empty seats, no support, worse behaved fans in england. and opposition fans think wenger is class and underappreciated at arsenal by scum rich fans. we can lose all our games, i say wenger is a wicked manager and will get us back 2 the top sooon, look at our carling kids, not long now have some balls and be patient

  23. Manuel says:

Im a knobber!! and care more about the spelling mistakes then Arsenal losings : )

(I bet this wont be posted because it criticises you)

My views on Wenger: I don’t believe there is anyone out there better than him to manage this club at the moment. No doubts this team is poor, but Wednesday showed what we have in our ranks. We need Arsene to keep this ship steady. Without him it could get MUCH worse and quickly too. We need to get behind the team and make sure we finish in the top 4.

  24. wynmills says:

I don’t want to hear any more bollocks from Bendtner of Gallas about ‘bouncing back’. Not after the crap performances they put in today. And please Wenger, don’t continue to give excuses for this sorry shower of shite. This team ain’t fit to lick the boots of the Invincibles. christ sakes, Not to even sting the Villa keeper’s hands at home says it all. This team are prancing show ponies who can only win if they don’t have to work too hard to break down the opposition. There’s no bottle and no grit. There’s no determination to get ahead. The problem is they all believe their own hype. I’m sick of listening to idiots like Gallas going on about proving everyone wrong. The team need a true leader, and he’s not it.

  25. Gaz Southport says:

This comment won’t be popular, but I’d probably consider dropping Clichy from left back when playing against particular teams and play Gallas Left Back, where he has played numerous times for Chelsea and Arsenal, we need more height and solidarity.

    I’d actually play in defence:
    Sagna – Djourou – Song – Gallas

Almunia simply isn’t good enough, Fabianski isn’t ready either. Denilson although played well recently isn’t good enough imo. I don’t know why Toure or at the very least Diaby plays that position.

If we sort out those defensive and midfield issues then the rest of the team will take care of itself.

  26. HUS GOON says:

YOU BE PATIENT YOU DIV!! IVE BEEN FOR FOUR YEARS!! I LOVE THE MANAGER AND I LOVE WHAT HES DONE BUT, HES STUBBORN AND YES THE BOARD ARE TIGHT BUT WNGER CANNOT KEEP RELYING ON KIDS TO WIN GAMES!!! WE EXPECT MORE FROM ARSENAL!! ITS BEEN A TRANSITIONAL PERIOD FOR TOO LONG NOW!! YOU FANS THAT KEEP SAYING BE PATIENT DO MA FUCKIN NUT IN!!! WE NEED EXPERIENCE AND SIMPLE DEFENSIVE MINDED PLAYERS!!!! ALL THE PLAYERS ARE TOO SIMILAR AND MIDFIELD IS LIGHTWEIGHT!! YOU MARK MY WORDS… FABS TO BARCA NEXT SEASON FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!

  27. john says:

why??!?!?? whats wrong with fabregas????!!!? whats happening to arsenal?!?!?!

  28. HUS GOON says:

HE HAS BEEN TOO BOB THIS SEASON, AND IS NOT PLAYING IN THE SAME VAIN!! THIS IS BECAUSE HE HAS NO PARTNER IN MIDFIELD THAT ALLOWS HIM THE FREEDOM TO ROME AND CREATE!! AND WHEN HE SEES THAT WE ARE GONNA WIN FUCK ALL AGAIN BARCA WILL BE TOO TEMPTING.. PLUS HE HAS SAID THAT ONE DAY HE WILL PLAY THEIR AGAIN!!

  29. HUS GOON says:

I KNOW IM BEING NEGATIVE BUT WATCHING WHAT WE DO WEEK IN WEEK OUT IS JUST TOO MUCH TO TAKE!! SO WE BEAT MAN UTD!! SO FUCKIN WHAT.. THEY COULD HAVE EASILY RIPPED US APART IF THEY HAD A BIT OF LUCK!!

  30. Spike says:

    Caps lock you mutha!!!!! FUCKA!!!!!!

  31. wynmills says:

What’s happening to Arsenal? We’re running out of steam. That’s what’s happening. Wenger will trot out some sorry excuse about us looking jaded. WHY? the players were able to put their feet up this week and watch a truly committed Arsenal side put Wigan to the sword. They should have been gagging to thrash Villa today. Instead we get this strutting nonsense. I’m fed up watching this weak midfield and defence being out manouvered each week. Wenger needs to fukking get some help with his defensive tactics or we can say goodbye to Champions League football next season.

  32. Spike says:

You are seriously talkin shite now Hus.

We beat United and deserved to. Don’t try and rewrite history to fit your tantrum.

Thats what is so effin frustrating about this team. They beat United and look effin awesome at times, then simply fail to show up for the bread and butter games like the Chavs used to about 5 years ago.

We are turning into a Cup team, unable to do it every week.

  33. Attila says:

Who remembers that team called stoke that beat us 2-0. The long throws???

Well a real team played them today and beat them 5-0

Watch the DVD and learn pls Mr WENGER!! OH sorry he knows everything!!

  34. harryo says:

fabregas. u fukin disgrace. u show no passion, no heart. We pay ur fukin wages and u repay us with that shite .Wy dont u fuk off to bacelona . tell wenger u want out but dont think u are foolin people watchin ur half hearted displays each week.fuk off and let ramsey come in and show u how to play the game with passion , commitment and balls u loser

  35. Spike says:

Maybe we should just keep the likes of Cesc, Gallas for the BIG games and use the kids for the rest!

That way they can save themselves the boredom and effort of actually having to earn their ridiculous wages week in week out having to play unglamorous games like today, oh and Hull, and Stoke…. Sunderland…. Fulham……WBA, Boro, Pompey (probably)

  36. HUS GOON says:

SPIKE, KISS MY ARSE U TWAT!!! IM BEING BLUNT…PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!! YES WE PLAYED LIKE WE SHOULD DO EVERY WEEK!! WE PLAYED AGAINST MAN UTD LIKE IT WAS A CHAMPS FINAL!! EVERY PLAYER WANTED IT!! BUT IT DOESNT EVEN MATTER NOW CAUSE IF U CANT PUT IT IN WEEK IN WEEK OUT THERE IS NO POINT!! ITS ALL ABOUT CONSISTENCY WHICH BRINGS SILVERWARE NOT ONE OFF SPECTACULAR GAMES!! YOU HAVE TO BE STRAIGHT WITH THIS SHIT!! WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH…. U MOTHER FUCKIN PRICK!!

  37. Mista ken says:

Arsen’s been found out. Even the kids would faulter. The race is not for the swift but for who can endure it!

  38. harryo says:

good idea. play the kids in the so called small matches,eg villa , hull, fulham , stoke etc and let those so called great players play just against utd , liverpool and chelsea. cant have these poor superstars havin to line up aganst these small teams who should not be aloud on the same pitch as these giants of the game. eg fabulis . gallas , adebadplayer and the greatest one footed footballer in the world rvp

  39. dave says:

lt is f#cking annoying losing games like this 4 already we should be doin alot better we are missing 3 players DM we havent got a replacement for Flamini in the summer we have missed him alot the balance is not right and cesc has not been able to get forward enough and a real centre back we need a Keown and you even a goalkeeper but l wouldnt blame it all on Wenger l think the board need to get a couple of people in to help him, we lost dein didnt get anyone in and same with Edelman l do think buyin the stadium has not helped the team short term maybe next season we will be more secure with the debt but we need sucess to bring money in and players to the club and keep them at the club but we must do this as quick as possible all the other teams are getting better

  40. Spike says:

    Hus

If you hadnt suffered that freak labotomy operation when you were a young girl, you’d realise we are both saying the same thing you dumb-oh so effin angry-fuckwit!

    Hahahahahahahahaaa!

  41. Mista ken says:

Last season we were 2 experienced players short of winning the PL. Wenger let Gilberto, Flamini and Diara go and replaces them with willing but inexperienced youth. Power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely…

  42. realgunner says:

Real Gunners and real people. We keep saying 4-4-2 but we gave away two goals when we went 4-4-2.. I dont think it is a flamini – denillson problem… Watch the game and see how much work denilson had to do with Fab just strolling in the game. Den and Diaby were the pillars in the team.. Well i go again.. if this same team beats big teams in open games.. then there is a big question about officiating in small games… Just ask Roy Keane….

  43. KING RIZZLER says:

ARSENE WENGER IS 1 MOTHER FUCKING STUBBORN BASTARD!!!

WHEN THE FUCK IS HE GONNA GET RID AND GET SOME STEEL IN THIS TEAM, WEN IS HE GONNA GET LEADERS IN THIS TEAM!

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH ARSENAL AND ARSENE WENGER ALONG WITH THE CHAIRMAN, ALL CAN GO TO HELL, DEPRESSING BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  44. realgunner says:

wht is the spine we talk about..
    rate the players
    flamini – diaby
    hleb – nasri
    fabregas 2007 – fabregas 2008
    Gillberto silva 2007 – Denillson
    Walcot 2007 – Walcot 2008

It has very little to do with dept cause we have

  45. Donjohnni says:

    Urgh. OK. My opinion…

    Bendtner is no Thierry Henry.

I’ll say that again. Now, recall all Thierry Henry was for us…..

Bendtner isn’t fit to lick the dogshit off Thierry’s loafers.

Seriously. Bendtner in attack? Is this a joke? I thought he was OK about two years ago. Reality is, he’s not an Adriano, Henry, Torres… he’s a … er… a Bendtner. He’s slow. He can’t dribble. He’s good but not good enough for us. Or is he? Am I so arrogant to assume we should have good players?

Next. Defensive mid is defo a problem. Denilson is good But… he deffo isn’t a good defensive mid. I try to keep faith but it’s painfully obvious this isn’t his natural position. He just gets found out @ key moments.

Defense is still poor. Gallas sucks. Toure was always good. Drop Gallas and get a good partner for Toure. Oh wait! That’s impossible, Gallas is captain. Oh well.

Almunia is very good. Sad he got spotlighted for defensive failings today. He ain’t world class tho. Not a major problem… but something to think about.

Anyways, a sad day for Arsenal.

Glad I dropped my season ticket and left to Japan. Haha!!

  46. spareknacker says:

…and so they come crawling back from under their rocks.
Not heard anything from you for a few days. Plastics

Everything comes to those who wait….
Someone pointed out that they’ve waited 4 years “already”. Really? What, 4-whole-years? Jesus, no wonder you’re getting angry. Imagine having to wait that long.
There’s a lot more teams who’ve waited a lot longer than that for a trophy and they still stand by their teams. Why is that I wonder? They must be mental.

I’ve got friends who are Leeds ’till they die’. They hurt, that’s real anguish, but they’re still there. They’re still proud to say who they support (even if they have to be prepared for abuse). How did Leeds end up where they are? Oh that’s right, “living the dream”, short sighted policies, looking for immediate results, not balancing the books.

Like it or not, we’ve still got a stadium to pay for, the economy isn’t really good for refinancing and taking risks financially at the moment, but maybe we should splash the cash, fuck it, let’s spend our way out of trouble, like Man Utd and worry about how much we owe later. Or maybe get some rich foreign owner like Liverpool have done, it didn’t do them any harm did it? They’re level with Chelsea at the top of the league. So what if they might have to sell half of their squad torecoup some cash?

Whatever happens, I’m Arsenal through-and-through, always have been, always will be and I, like many others have had trophy-less spells before and will have them again.

Who’s can honestly say they know we won’t win something this year? Anyone that answers yes to this question either can’t read, doesn’t understand English, is stupid, irrational or a liar.

Yeah we lost again, yeah it hurts, but get behind your team and shut the fuck up.

  47. spareknacker says:

and yes, most of my post was sarcastic

  48. bewster says:

cant remember a save friedel had to save? how about cesc shot he pushed over the bar. villa were the better team 2day arsenal will be back dont worry all those people saying wenger out i would love to see you all last week when we played utd off the park fucking hypocrites

  49. yellow ribbin says:

i HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE ARSENAL FOR JUST OVER 40 YEARS!! I PAY FUCKING £2.500 FOR 2 SEASON TICKETS AND GO TO MOST AWAY GAMES. IM PAYING GORDON RAMSEY MONEY AND GETTING A BIG MAC! IM REALLY SORRY BUT……THANK YOU ARSENE BUT GOODBYE

  50. yellow ribbin says:

And to all you Arsene knows brigade…Are you all blind!! The man has lost the plot

  51. Bilza says:

I hate to say it but I and this comment page tells you everything you need to know. Couldn’t agree with u more HUSGOON and Attila. We could do without the insults because everyone is getting frustrated especially with the “In Arsene We Trust” bandwagon. They can be very annoying. I actually dont wanna see wenger sacked but serious questions has to be asked how he picks players with poor attitudes and tactics that have left us vulnerable like the spurs game you’ve described.

Arsenal and the manager got no execuses. We were totally outplayed.

It’s not about keeping the faith anymore. We all will continue to support them all through this season thick and thin and for life but we have to get real. I wasn’t jumping on the bandwagon after the man utd game becuz I knew Arsenal are just too inconsistent to compete.

That was the worst performance at home by far. It was probably far worse than Fulham or Stoke game. It worries me that we didn’t even compete with Villa. No passion whatsoever and worse no quality. We’re better off with some of the kids playing…they look hungry to win and play. But knowing wenger he’ll be too stubborn to make major changes. People like Fabregas, Bendtner (not good enough) and Nasri were so bad..looked disinterested… you have to start questioning.

I want arsenal fans to come on now and admit to themselves the title is gone. 4 defeats and looking as if we’re gonna lose more…let’s focus on getting a better team on the field for the champs league and the rest of the season. Look at the other top teams fixture list and you’ll find Arsenal have it far tougher! Wenger also needs to tougher and start making major changes. But knowing how stubborn he is..it’s unlikely. The midfield was found wanting in this match. I mean you can blame the defending but our attacking play was also poor..afor an Arsenal team they created virtually nothing against a good defence like villa. which is the bigger worry.

Congrats to Villa…for once I could trully say a team outplayed us, out fought us (which isn’t a surprise) who played fairly. Arsenal deserved nothing from that game…no matter how many execuses wenger has up his sleeves.

  52. matthew says:

this is a little bit over the top, don’t you think? we beat utd last week and were fantastic. its a young side, we need to have patience, and i have a theory that after the carling cup team perform so well it puts added pressure on the first team who are young themselves.

i disagree fabregas wants to be somewhere else, he was clearly marked out of the game today by petrov and sidwell, and there is still plenty to play for this season.

this team rises to the big occasions so dont be surprised if we win the champions league this season.

  53. YOU ARE SCUM says:

SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKING CUNT. WHO THE FUCK GIVES TWO SHITS WHAT YOU OR ANY OTHER WANKER ON THE NET HAS TO SAY. YOU AND YOUR KIND ARE SCUM. WHY DO YOU NOT SHOW US YOUR FACE SO WE CAN ALL SEE WHAT KIND OF COCKROACH YOU ARE BEFOR YOU CALL OTHERS SPINELESS.

  54. harryo says:

look at ur selves in the mirror u bunch of gutless fuckers. disgracing arsenal fc with ur spineless cowardly performances. i hope lose nearly every match and just avoid relagation so we can get rid of the most cowardly spineless{ask stoke}non trying bunch of mercinaries ever too wear the arsenal shirt.fuk off and embarress some other team u big time charlies

  55. Mutiny 1 says:

Until we show somw steel and commitment we wo’nt win anything. I love Cesc but I think hes gone . Bendtner is horrible and we have not seen any answers to the problems we knew existed from last year. Although Denilson has played with heart he is a sub at best playing out of position. We still need a no nonense CB to pair with Toure or give Djourou some time. I love this club but this team has no spine

  56. adil says:

aston villa was cheap as fuck…. whem davies fell down in his box after freidel cudnt deal with a fabregas shot, the ref commanded us 2 put the ball out of play but when sagna was injuired they never did the same( gallas didnt even touch davies so y shud we oblige with the ref he fell on his own…. sagna was hurt badly and had 2 be taken off..) the second goal was a clear foul on vela outside the box but as usual we get screwed… y does this happen 2 us…. u saw rooneys tackle on walcott in the last game and he didnt recieve a yellow for that and look at fabregas’s challenge against villa… he didnt even go with the studs… the ref was a dumbass in my opinion… and we played like shit 2 but as usual aston villa just get lucky against us again like last year stupid fucking senderos fucked it up … man this is pathetic…

Why don’t you feckwits listen to what is being said? Danny Fiszman appeared on TV and said the Arsenal board have told Wenger he has £30m to spend if he wants to. WENGER said he doesn’t want to spend, WENGER said we are good enough (despite saying different in the summer) so it’s WENGER who is to blame for this mess.

As for there being no-one better than Wenger, I’ll tell you someone – Guus Hiddink. I don’t know if he’d be available but he would be an improvement on Wenger, who is more concerned with the balance sheet and financial situation than winning a trophy. Oh, and the reason no-one has come in to help Wenger is because HE has a say in who it is, yes that’s right, our manager has a say who becomes his manager, that’s how fecked up it is at Arsenal.

  58. Drew says:

spareknacker and all arsene knows bandwagon… its no about splashing the cash… this was the same team that took down man utd just a week ago… where was that team yesterday? we keep saying kids.. kids..// but the problem is every time our kids develop into great players they are ready to move on… flamini.. so there is never any end to this.. we develop them.. they say hold on.. be patient.. when they are a finished product they are ready to move on… you can bet ade and fab are ready to move on… have you seen fab play this season.. the only way he is playing so badly is because he does not want to be where he is right now.. he just got back from a winning team this summer, he has got a taste of it and he does not see that attitude at arsenal any more… did you like the way he pulled out of that tackle before the second goal yesterday… his heart is no longer here.. i see him moving, and also ade going as well… ade is shite maybe.. but he is far better than bendtner…
you lot say, look at the carling cup, look at what we have in our ranks.. but that is what we said 5 years ago when we started this journey… all those carling cup heroes from back then are the spineless first team players we have now or have moved on// why did we let a sidwell go.. yesterday he reminded me of flamini…//
no doubt arsene has done great things, but you are only as good as your last match…

Call yourself an Arsenal supporter?? You’re a whiny, snot-nosed little cunt is what you are.

Fuck off and buy your Moaners or Chelski shirt, you cumguzzling cocksucker.

  60. Surrey Yid says:

Sorry boys, but i have not seen such a heartless Arsenal team, bar a couple of the players for as long as i can remember. Its easy to get up for the big games that matter to the fans, like Spurs and Man Utd. Arsenal are missing a leader in the centre midfield to drive them on like Veira used to, but the whole team has to have the right attitude. The Arsenal team has talent no doubt, but something is missing for sure this year. I thought the comment by GUS saying that if Man Utd had more luck on their side last week they could have won was spot on. That win just papered the cracks. Could be worse though, you could still be fighting your way back up like Spurs! Spurs did not show enough heart yesterday and some of the cracks that had been papered over with the recent results where we got more than we deserved came to the fore, and we got what we deserved. Both our teams need to realise that if you do not earn the right to play, you will mostly get what you deserve.

  61. Surrey Yid says:

Arsenal were shit yesterday, like Spurs. We got what we deserved.

  62. arsene knows says:

lets have some perspective on arsenal football club

sure we were outplayed yesterday and well beaten, problem at centre forward, centre midfielld, centre half, and goalie ie the spine

we have the best stadium in world football, fizman did that, its incredible and we re-financed it just in time.. a defining moment in arsenal history…. genius mr fizman

but he hates dein for many reasons, mainly its personal between them, i know this for a fact, its easy to understand fizmans dislike of dein as he hogged the spotlight and was so political behind fizmans back, and in the open against the new stadium, bought in kroenke… however dein ran the football side since the early 80’s, no co-incidende what happened next, george graham, ian wright, anfield 89, bergkamp, rioch in and out which was great management, then arsene, thierry, doubles, 49’ers…then dien goes and?

work it out…. if you want to look at any organisation look from the top down, bates, levy, dein… we have no person running the ‘football club’, we have a board running the company and they are running the stadium and business brilliantly, fizman and the old etonians but the football, no its adrift with no leadership…. david i mss you!

so to arsene and the team this year…. well its obvious to me, last year we were incredible up to eduardo, but we finished well… so in the summer if we would have strenthened we would have won the league but the opposite happened we lost the midfield, we lost gilberto our DM and his replacement who had a good season flamini, and we lost our wizard of holding the ball hleb.. eveyone knew we needed to replace them plus we needed a goalscorer, a tall centre half and a world class goalie, the rest of the squad around that would be world beaters…

but no dein no ideas and no top deal maker, we bought in nasri a wonderful ball player and a good addition but he is no hleb, and ramsey a superstar for the future, alonso would have been great to relace gilberto but without dein we didnt do the deal, but we saw yesterday the player we should have signed and need desperately, barry ran the game yesterday, he was a collossus in the middle, can you imagine him next to cesc?, can djourou do it? maybe, at least he is tall, but he is young, we need i hate to even say it but a southgate, an experienced stopper…. now upfront… we need our wright/henry/radford/stapleton back…. benzema is arsenal

arsene is doing an amazing job for this club, he is bringing in amazng players for no money, he is a miracle worker, ferguson, chelski, spuds, scousers spend hundreds of millions we dont have, do you know afc are the ONLY premier club that spent less money than they made on transfers in the summer?, you cant blame arsene for not buying like all these blogs do, its the board that spend money, do any of you run a business? i do and i can assure you my managment dont spend my money, you are being fantasists if you really beleive that…. he wanted alonso but the club didnt buy him, why? they were 2 million short, incredible, can you imagine dein not doint that deal? never

as for the current squad, its brimming with talent and the team plays the best football in the world…. we just are not spending the money to finish off the job, can you imagine another manager coming in with the same money to spend? er who do you want as manager to compete with chelsea & manutds money with no money, tony adams? rednapp? leave it out… mind you dein bought in the now chelsea manager to manage england, but the fa decided to undo it an bring on the umbrella man…. see david did that better too!

i wanted to give you all perspective, the problem is staring you all in the face and you have missed it, the problem is david dein is not running the football club and fizmans ego is… bring dein back and arsene will get the players dein bought in…. remember? his campbell, his thierry, his seaman and his ….. gareth barry

    arsene knows
    dein knows

fizman knows how to build a stadium but not a football team

come on you rip roaring gunners!

  63. gunz says:

As disappointed as real gooners are about the home defeat – I’m more disappointed with the coments from so called fans who seem to forget what supporting a team is all about.

I am peeved but I’m convinced things will pick up – Gallas is not marshalling the team well and I fail to understand how Kolo who has more pace than silvestre is kept on the bench.

The borderline wenger out brigade can eat a large one. Red devil go away and play with your own mates you sad turd.

A club as big as Valencia lost at home yesterday too Real lost too. things happen. Villa lost a few on the bounce too – We have players coming back and that must be a crumb of comfort.

  64. gunz says:

so many fake gooners can’t find a forum of their own. hiding behind a keyboard in cyberspace – sad muppets.

I’ll still be a gooner when the bandwagon switches again.

  65. gunz says:

not one word of profanity in here and my comment awaits moderation..now that is funny

  66. James Morgan says:

Arsenal’s chase for the title is as good as gone. Of course AW will beg to differ. I only hope it could be true but frankly speaking even for neutrals they will say the title is out of reach.
If Arsenal can win 15 games out of the next 18 then it is possible like MU in 2003. The odds for that are as long as my grandfather replacing Almunia.
AW shd drop some big nmes and if they ask for a transfer sell them. After all he has talked so much about carling gunners.

  67. umz says:

    hi
he hasnt always got it wrong BUT he shouldve bought a player with all the money the club was on about. we stayed up all night and he running out of exuses 1 more defeat hez going to say we needed a DM

  68. mick67 says:

well guys loss number 4 but i can’t see what this is all about
the big fear is c/l spot for next season because we were never going to win the league and since the beginning of the season in four years defense has been nonexistant i mean 12 year olds could deal with long throws but not the gunshy boys and a blind man could see this but no one at arsenal coaching staff or are they not allowed to have a opinion yes the boss has money to spend but that is to late now and yes he has sat down with and promised big players to henry to keep him but he renagged on that sorry for my spelling but anyway so who can blame cesc if he wants to leave great players like to play with great players so as i said this blogging is only falling on deaf ears and other fans arsenal each other vile names need to grow up there called opinions yes we all agree arsne has been a god send it’s time to either start fining players who don’t put it in or tougher training sessions we have talented footballers in midfield even better than man u’s mid but once a man u puts on the jersey it’s 100% all the way so there is serious questions to be asked of certain players but as joe supporter you have to put up with what we get and one more thing before i go to the liverpool fan only for refs inconsistant you would be below spurs as per usual soft decisions for the one man team stevie g and if you don’t beleive look back to season so far.sorry i have one thing more on the alonso saga it wenger that would not spend and that’s a joke

  69. lennox says:

it was shite almunia is crap denilson aint good enuf, bender well he really is crap i would play 1 striker up front and play song just in front of the defenders for back up,we need a DM as well fabregas aint playing at eas cant reli on denilson thats y he aint performing as well flmini was the tits passion he would of been my captain????????????

  70. lennymaysay says:

Some of your criticism is over the top, but questions need to be asked. Bendtner is awfull; it’s time for him to go. Cesc seems to have other things on his mind. Gallas is past his sell-by date and his captaincy sucks. High time Wenger bloods some of the younger players who show a greater willingness to play.

  71. FA CUP 4-0 last year to manutd –an articli i copied from an arse site ——-read and weep(not the 1st few paras !!)

Manchester United played a simple game of bullying and winning every fifty-fifty ball. Arsenal’s passing game never showed up. So the result which hurts, on the back of losing to the scum 5-1, but let’s put this defeat into it’s proper context shall we before getting a tad hysterical.

So what can we learn from this momentary aberration? I think that before people write us off for the remaining competitions, they had better first look at the Premier League table. We are five points clear and by the time Man United take to the field next weekend, we should have extended this to eight points courtesy of Birmingham City. ……..(O really!!!!!)

  72. ddj says:

Let Wenger try to fix it.

He has done it on a budget several times before, but this time, he has failed. The man isn`t perfect … I will rather see Wenger making our deals than a new guy. That would be bad to worse.

  73. HighbuyJD says:

    attilla – manure 5 stoke 0
I could guarantee the stoke 0 before kickoff prawnville is a very wide pitch. not like to ten footwide shittannia. Stoke can only score from throw in’s, never had a chance at wide old OT

  74. James The Gooner says:

Liverpool are the strongest side this season and if they keep up their good form, they will surely win the Premiership…

    The reason is:

Arsenal depend too much on young players. It`s okay with some young players in a starting-elleven, but Arsenal have almost their whole squad full of teenagers and that was the reason the Premiership slipped for them last season…

Manchester United doesn`t use their best working machine (Tevez) enough… And that their whole team is about Ronaldo. A player who should have been red-carded in the game vs Celtic for kicking one of the players on the other team because he didn`t land a trick. I`d like too see him less arrogant and a little less of those stupid dives… He would have been the best player in the world if he did that.

Chelsea is the team that is the biggest threat for Liverpool, but after watching the game at Stamford Bridge, which Liverpool won, without Torres (!!!). Liverpool seemed like a better TEAM, and that`s what`s gonna be the difference between them this season…

I think Liverpool will win because of their fantastic goalkeeper (Josè Reina) and captain (Steven Gerrard), but also their great mentality.
won against United without Gerrard (most of the game) and Torres.
They also won against Chelsea and ended their home record of 86 games unbeaten, that was also without Torres.
If they win against Arsenal at Emirates in December, I would recommend you all to place a bet on Liverpool winning the league this season..

    But let`s hope I`m wrong…

  75. Clock End Gooner says:

I used to be a fully fledged member of the “Arsene Knows” brigade, but not anymore! I just simply cannot defend this team that was screaming out for reinforcements in the summer… only for the stubborn manager to simply ignore that fact and drop us further up shit creek without a paddle!
I love Arsene Wenger! They bloke is a living legend & has single handedly transformed out football club… but it’s plain for all to see he is slowly losing the plot and see’s our football club as more of an experiment than an institution! Your money saving youth policy is not working Arsene! IF YOU DON’T SPEND IN JANUARY, THERE WILL BE THOSANDS OF GOONERS CALLING FOR YOU TO LEAVE… and I just can’t back you up anymore! 😦

  76. realgunner says:

remember liverpool were beaten by Spurs.. We drew with spurs…Manu drew with Chelsea … we beat chealsea…. Man City bought sooo many players … where are they.. were also beaten last week…. I feel fabregas and Gallas and posiblly almunia shd give way for the less”experiance” but more commited Ramsey , Djourou, and Fabianski how give better passion

  77. Ray says:

Arsene Wenger is a stubborn man who hasn’t changed in 12 years. He is also a legend at AFC and thus he is not under any pressure to win trophies.

As long as money is rolling into the club via the gate receipts, TV cash and Champion’s League, the board will be satisfied.

Brian Clough was also a stubborn man and a legend a Nottingham Forest. A great manager who eventually led his club to relegation. Something at Arsenal will need to change.

  78. Gonner! says:

Sack Bendtner – he slows the game, his ball control is woeful, his passing is worse and he can’t score!!

Play Adebayor and Vela…..quality pairing, skill and eye for goal.

    Replace Denilson with Ramsey…..Do it.

Play Toure in front of the back 4 (which includes Djouru….get shut of William)

Ideal Line up (not counting bans):
    Fabianski
Sagna (Toure) – Djouru – Silvest – Clichy
    Toure (when not covering RB)
    Ramsey – Fabregas – Nasri
    Ade – Vela

    Subs: Wilshire, Walcott & Almunia

  79. Gonner! says:

    January OUTs:

    William – 2m
    Bendtner – 8m
    Eboue – 6m

    January INs:

    Richard Dunne – Defence – 5m
    Vierra – Midfield – 2m
Eduardo – striker (back from injury)
Rosicky – Midfielder (back from injury)

  80. The Chosen One says:

I wish all you people moaning about the lack of spending would fuck off and support chelsea or man city. Wenger tried to buy in the summer (Alonso, Yaya, Inler) but could not sign anyone of the quality we needed. He decided he wouldn’t go and spunk £30m+ on someone just to appease the spazwits that equate massive transfer fees with on the pitch success.

We were woeful against Villa, I’ll be the first to agree, but the answer is not spending money unless it’s on the right player. If I was Wenger I’d rest Cesc for a week or two and give Ramsey a chance to play alongside either Denilson or Diaby. I think Cesc looks tired and out of sorts, but Ramsey has impressed every time I have seen him play.

  81. harryo says:

we may be shite but some clown has just predicted liverpool will win the league we are out of it but we have a better chance than the most boring anti football team in the country known as liverpool. take arsenal and utd out of this league and it would be unwatchable. who would want to watch a game of skyball between liverpool and stoke
