What the First Team Next Season MUST Be and Why

Flamini gone, Hleb to follow?

With this sale of Flamini, and the seemingly inevitable sale of Hleb, Wenger, and everyone involved with the club, has some thinking to do.

What is the perfect combination of experience and youth? Strength and skill?

Firstly, football is a game of partnerships. This past year Adebayor developed good partnerships with Eduardo and van Persie. Hleb made an understanding with Sagna, same with Clichy and Rosicky. The best partnership, however, was between Flamini and Fabregas. Those two bossed the midfield of every game, and had the perfect combination of skill, strength, flair, and footballing intelligence.

So the first thing we need to do is buy a replacement for Flamini. We need a player who will win the ball far up in the park, and then give it Fabregas, Rosicky, or Walcott quickly and without trouble. There are many options, the best three, for me at least, being Yaya Toure, Miguel Veloso, and Gareth Barry. All of them are in the 15-20m pound range, but all are worth it, and that won’t seem like so much if Hleb leaves for 12-15m pounds. So step 1. Buy a big name defensive midfielder who stop opponents attacks quickly, and start our attacks at the same speed.

Next, if Hleb leaves, we need a right winger. We don’t have to look far, or wide. We don’t need Samir Nasri. We have an English lad named Theo Walcott. Statistically, Theo is a better player than Alex, who has magically gone from underrated to overrated. Rosicky’s future at Arsenal depends on the success of his recent surgery. If he can stay fit, I imagine he will stay and start until Carlos Vela is ready. If he stays fit, he will provide assists, goals and experience.

That is a balanced midfield, Rosicky-Fabregas-Veloso/Toure/Barry-Walcott.

Our attack of Adebayor and van Persie already complients each other perfectly. van Persie is a good crosser, Adebayor heads the ball well, van Persie loves to be a the top of the box and pounce on cutback passes that trickle through. Adebayor loves to take it to the line and cut it back. Thats just two examples of how they both compliment each other. Plus they are both prolific when fit.

In defense, we have the best two full backs in England, possibly the world. Our problems come in the position of center back. Kolo Toure is a legend, a bedrock, the true captain of Arsenal. He will never be sold. William Gallas is a player who cares only for himself, unreliable, and a mock captain. He must be sold. And with Jens Lehmann gone, it is time for another German, Per Mertesacker. An absolute steel wall, this kid. He has five years of experience in the Bundesliga for Hannover and Bremen, and has over 40 caps for Germany. If he has an impressive Euro 2008, I am sure Arsene will be interested. He’s 23 and 6’6. We need him, he would balance our defense, and make a great partner to King Kolo. Other good options are Ron Vlaar, and Cristian Zapata.

That is what we need. Walcott to start, Veloso/Barry/Toure, and Mertesacker. We were a disallowed goal (Adebayor vs. Boro), and a bullshit penalty (Birmingham) away from winning the title. We are closer than everyone thinks.

This squad would win the title:

—–Adebayor–van Persie—-

Rosicky—————Walcott

—–Fabregas—Veloso——

Clichy—————-Sagna

—-Toure—-Mertesacker—-

——-Almunia————

Bench: Fabianski, Song, Denilson, Vela, Bendtner/Eduardo

ur alllowed 7 subs next year

  2. Steve says:

Walcott drifts in and out too much to be part of such a short midfield. That is why Wenger uses Eboue…wish we had Ray Parlour back. We miss drive, attitude and power

  3. Anonymous says:

If Hleb leaves, we dont need a right winger, we’d need a attacking mid/withdrawn forward type player, which Nasri IS. Ben Arfa is the winger, if we buy him that is and then we are getting Vela back as well. Hleb almost always played in the middle this season just behind Ade. Nasri will do the same.

P.S. Nasri will be here very soon as well.

  4. bob says:

I would love to see this lineup:

    Ade RVP
    Vela Cesc Song Walcott
    Clichy Toure Gallas Sagna
    Almunia

The Vela/Clichy and Walcott/Sagna combos down the left and right wings would absolutely terrorize opposing defenses. With both Ade and RVP up front we could really get back to overwhelming other teams early. If I really had my choice of acquisitions it would be for a real bedrock CB, as I believe while Toure and Gallas are great individually they simply don’t work well together.

  5. Yardie says:

I cannot see Rosicky or RVP lasting for more than a five game run before picking up injuries, we need another striker, someone like a Huntelaar, and a top class keeper as well as those you have mentioned

  6. bewster says:

first of all flamini wasnt sold,i think we should get nazri to replace the ice-cream loving hleb and micah richards and id agree with yaya toure in centre midfield

  7. Gun_1 says:

but look at your bench man…simply not good enough ( or ready ) to win. With RVP and Rosicky in the team we need to pray they stay fit or else its over…end of.

  8. Howard says:

Are you sure Arsene will go for a centre back while Senderos is alive? Senderos is crap and yet Arsene will still keep him there.

We can only complain but he’ll continue to field Senderos and we’ll lose again.

  9. starla says:

I’m sorry but the moment you said Theo is better than Alex.. “statistically”; I stopped reading..

Statistics, yeah? please provide your source and statistics because that is an absolutely ridiculous statement.

  10. rick says:

you forgot that pl willl have 7 substitutes next season,

    Team:

    Ade……..RVp
    Rosicky…fabregas…charmbord(?)..nasri
    Clichy….gallas….dunne……..sagna
    almunia.

    subs….fabanski….song…diaby…walcott…vela…bendtner…eboue

  11. hits says:

We still need a right winger in my opinion because Wenger is moulding Walcott into a forward as he did with Henry.

  12. manny says:

what a rubbish article wenger and the board have no ambition maybe one ,, to try and get into the top four ferguson said on tele hes getting ready for next season i wish we had a manager who thought the same way.. did anybody read wenger’s article in the june mag nothing is ever his fault most arsenal supporters say he should have added to the squad in jan but not wenger

  13. robert says:

yaaaay, you are the first 1 that thinks that we should sign metsacker. Im glad someone agrees with me 😀

  14. Manny Twatz says:

you are a dick if you think wenger has lost it, Mannymal. Go and support the Mancs if you love Fergie so much. Or better still, support the chavs of west london.

  15. Gunner #1 says:

I think were ok for central midfielders, denilson, diaby, merida will also play a part this season. okay, not too experienced but they can play, and mertesacker is a decent, tall, strong centre half but i believe kolo and william can get their partnership back together, they showed at the start when 1 or the other wasnt injured that they can be a partnership. I’d like to see nasri signed, hes a quality winger, great feet and vision, like ronaldo with less queerboy about him (if you no what i mean) walcott should be used as a partner for adebayor, van persie needs to prove his body can be reliable, hes quality when hes fit. I no some wont agree but walcott cant just be thrown in next season and start every game, he still needs time but he should, as im sure he will, get more time on the pitch next season.

  16. kaz says:

WE NEED A KEEPER STRIKER DEFINSIVE MIDFIELDER WINGER OR 2 AND GENERAL STRENGTHING

  17. kaz says:

    AND DEFENDER

  18. funky monk says:

mertesacker is impressive, but i’d really like to see vincent kompany signed instead. he is the answer to rio ferdinand. nasri is almost a certainty now, a perfect back up to either flanks for first few months. jean makoun will be a perfect (and cheaper) replacement for flamini in my opinion, very quick and aggressive. no more strikers needed, vela is back. now if hleb stays, the squad will be devastating.

  19. Lewyd24 says:

This is a good article. Thinking out the box. Dunno what wud happen if rosicky rvp or if Eduardo have injury problems. then your team looks different. We need benarfa we need Nasri we need DEPTH. We had a team this season who wre capable of winning the league. Its not that we didnt have the players. Its that the players we had got injured and we had no 1 gud enuf to replace them.

  20. kkurt says:

kirkland sagna richards norvieltd clichy walcott fabregas nasri vela van persie eduado.. very small but perfect.

  21. Ramgun says:

Toure, with Campbell, and Gallas, with Terry, have only played well next to dominating centre-backs. Together they are bread and bread. As for the opinion that Adebayor is a good header of the ball – I will have to agree to disagree!
I do agree that Hleb will not be a great loss. We still need goals from the flanks and Hleb will not get them.

  22. George says:

Cesc was obviously out of gas at the end of the season. He has to be subbed by (Denilson or Diaby) once in awhile, especially when we have a commanding lead against smaller teams.

  23. James says:

You’re talking shit. Gallas is better than Toure, you just like Toure more – like we all do – so you say Toure is better than Gallas. Trust me, if one should leave – and I hope neither do – Arsenal would be better off if Toure left. He panics under pressure badly and he can’t defend crosses and has never defended crosses well. Toure has some major defensive problems that have cost us many times over the years, he is nowhere near as good as Terry, Carvalho, Vidic, Ferdinand, Dunne, Melberg, and quite a few other Premiership centre backs.
I think Toure would be great back up for centre-back and right back positions, but Wenger needs someone at the back who can do what Campbell did, calm under pressure, and heading everything out. Richard Dunne would be perfect.

  24. omar says:

actually this one of the best articles about arsenal in a long time… i dont think we need players like villa and benzema coz theyre very expensive. the only thing i dont like is the gallas part, i think he should stay. walcott and vanpersie are going to be very important next season and thats why i dnt believe we need more than 1 or 2 additions. some so called arsenal fans want like 5 or 6 new payers, i mean common this is not fantasy manager, we have a good enough squad and im sure our players wil improve alot next season. all the guys who criticize wenger and compare us to man united or chelsea know nothing about football whatsoevern so it would be better to spare us your bullshit comments

  25. Michael says:

in an ideal world id love for us to keep hleb, get a beastly center back, a world class keeper and a winger and i truly beleive we would rape the league and champions league

  26. 49 Unbeaten says:

I agree in part to what this article is saying and if we had kept the team together (no-one leaving) we already needed 3 players to bulk out the squad as we didn’t have enough depth to deal injuries/fatigue as we painfully found out this season. With Flamini leaving and the pending departure of Hleb that now means we need to find 5 players. Does anyone else not recognise this?

  27. CaribKid says:

I agree with most of your statements but consider the one about Flamini and Fabregas making a great combination as false.

As much as I admired Flamini’s hustle and never say die attitude it would serve us in good stead to thoroughly analyze that partnership in two stages, the first and second half of the season.

First half of the season Flamini played a solid defensive role and combined that with attacking as the player rotation dictated during the game. This allowed Fab to be more attacking and resulted in him having more goal scoring opportunities of which he made good use.

Second half of the season Flamini became an attacking midfielder which forced Fab to be more defensive, thus limiting his scoring opportunities. As a result of Flamini’s attacking mindset during this period the back four was compromised on many occasions because we were without a true DM to provide the needed defensive barrier.

It is very easy to commend Flamini’s performance on the pitch because he was very visible but if we take a look on the great DM’s like Claude Makalele and Patrick Viera you would invariably see them defending in the 1st third of the pitch when their teams were under siege.

Gilberto Silva performed this role admirably 2 seasons ago and proved to be the consummate DM then and we can only wonder if he had been fit at the start of the season if our fortunes would have been different.

  28. Micky C says:

Totally disagree with you about Toure, he is getting increasinly error prone – Senderos was slated for the Liverpool defeat but nobody mentions Toure letting Babble get goal side of him prior to giving the penalty away, he was beaten in the air by Stellios earlier in the season. The strongest we have been all season was when Toure was away at the ACON and Gallas played with Senderos.

I do agree we need to bring in someone to replace Flamini, but not Yaya, he is not mobile enough and his passing is questionable to say the least. I have only seen Veloso play twice this season and one of those times he struggled to cope with a deffensive Rangers, a Rangers team that would struggle in our league. I would urge Wenger to sign Alonso from Liverpool as he would fit in our style of play.

Out wide right I once again agree that Theo should start and be given a run to show what he can do, left side has to be Rosicky as he is a great player when fit.

    I would play either

    Almunia
    Sanga Gallas Senderos Clichy
    Theo Cesc ALONSO Rosicky
    Van Persie
    Adebayor

    Or

    Almunia
    Sanga Gallas Senderos Clichy
    Alonso
    Cesc Rosicky
    Van Persie Walcott
    Adebayor

  29. 49 Unbeaten says:

  30. Austingunner says:

Song can fill that role. No need to go out and buy an overpriced English player like Barry. I believe next season he will begin to show his quality.

  31. gunnerman says:

Here’s 1 for ya. Even without any signings think about a team that could be fielded playin 4-3-3.
    Almunia(Fabianski)
    Sagna(Eboue) ——-Toure(Senderos)——-Gallas——–Clichy(Traore)

    Song(Gilberto)

    Rosicky(Diaby)—————–Fabregas(Denilson)

    Eduardo(Walcott)———–Adebayor(Bendtner)———-V.Persie(Vela)

The two fullback’s have bombed forward every game all season so why not let them do it next season. Let them give us width. Song(or possibly a replacement) is very defensive minded an can help tidy up for any balls given away by fabregas/rosicky(who is naturally a CM) when they push forward. Eduardo and V.persie this season have often been deployed in midfield this season an have burst forward into the box every now and then with great success. This would also allow them to link play with the midfield and give us width further up the field allowing crosses to Adebayour. When you look at the subs aswell, there is adequate cover for each position, each sub being perfectly suitable to play in that position. Surely that looks like a very strong side without even making any new signings. Granted, there are a few area to add depth(CB,LB) but really it looks like a very strong squad. What do you huys think?

  32. Gunner4life&beyond says:

Lewyd24 wrote one of the best comments I’ve seen posted on any site or blog. We just need a few more good/great, most importantly reliable players. Like Wenger said, they don’t have to be big names, but they need to have talent and be able to do a job for us. If Hleb goes, we need 3 – 4.

  33. kadar says:

All in all we cannot keep telling wenger what kind of players we need so it is up to him to bring any kind of players that he needs, does he rarely meet our demands. Now all we can do is to watch Arsenal games see how they play.

  34. Ryan says:

Why do we need a big name DM? What is this obsession it’s RIDICULOUS.

We need a top class DM, how famous and expensive he is should not be how he’s judged.

Sagna has been in many people’s eyes our player of the season. He cost shit all considering his quality, settled in instantly, has been world class this season and has caused no problems at all. Eduardo was doing great til he got his leg broken by some prick. he hardly cost a bomb.

Stop calling for big names, it means nothing but that they are expensive. There are COUNTLESS players around who none of us have ever noticed of heard of who are good enough to play at the highest level and do the job, just as Flamini did this year after being hardly considered high profile previously. What IS the point in spending £15-20 mil on any player when you can’t be sure it will work out? As I said you can be just as sure many £8 mil player will work out and be just as good, the difference is they cost half as much so stop asking for money to be wasted it’s so stupid.

Look at all those begging for big bucks to be spent on Malouda last year. Yeah because that was money well spent by Chelsea wasn’t it? Look at Shevchenko, he was one of the best in the world when he joined Chelsea, now what? Ballack only started playing well in the last couple of months for Christ’s sake. The lesson to be learned is £15+ million is an awful lot to spend on a player considering just as many of those players turn out disappointments as successes.

Yeah some turn out great like Torres and that’s fine, he was worth it, but you can almost never be certain that it will work out as Chelsea, Real Madrid and now Barcelona have proved many times with signings. Might as well look in the bargain bin because in all honesty the gulf in class between many players is hugely exhaggerated. The annoying thing is that you should know this by now, Wenger’s showed it so many times.

So don’t buy Barry or Veloso or whoever else will cost a ridiculous amount, buy an equally good or better player for less- and yes they do exist.

  35. gunner17 says:

EBOUE WILL BE IMMENSE FOR US NEXT SEASON
    WALCOTT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH

  36. Ryan says:

It surprises me no one is trying to hit two birds with one stone by suggesting we put Kolo in DM and replace him at CB with a big defender. Toure wouldn’t take very long to get comfortable, he’s ready made and is good enough technically, then we only need one player.

It’s not necessarily a good idea to buy Yaya considering if you upset one Toure you probably upset both and we don’t want that now. Not to mention like I said Kolo could probably do just as good a job after a few games practice and wouldn’t cost shit.

  37. FRANK says:

Well said Ryan, It really irritates me when I hears our fans say Why doesn’t Wenger buy a big name player” It doesn’t necessarily mean experience or that they will fit into Arsenals pattern of play. We cannot be as unlucky with multiple injuries in key positions again.

  38. Liam says:

We need a solid center back that will be dependable and make those last ditch tackles… we need adams back… if only…
maybe wenger should hire him as a coach??? give the lads a bit more drive and show them what arsenal is all about (not the drinking side though)

  39. Donjohnni says:

We have diaby you morons. He will be better than Flam.

  40. Radford says:

Wenger has already stated thar Vela is going to be used as a striker, if we get Nasri he will be used on the left and Theo and Eboue will be our right midfielders. I would put my house on Arsenal not buying another striker, im not even sure if wenger will buy a replacement for Fla-money, I think you will see a lot of Diaby, Gilberto or Denilson this season in that position. The one position we need to buy the most is Center Back, so any tall strong and intelligent center back will do.

  41. bergy says:

why cant eboue be sold? I hate to see him get more game time if/when Hleb leaves

at Rb eboue was good, but since he moved to right wing he is terrible

really think when ever eboue is starting we are down already
he is a waste of postion, even my grandmom would fall like him

  42. iqte says:

i dont know why bt some of u r missing the point why we finished 3rd this past season. it’s becoz of the depth. we could have won the premiership easily. But injuries ruined everything. Our starting 11 was the best in england(any doubts?). But most of our subs let us down. We were the best SUPERFICIALLY, but underneath we were just not good enough. so 1)we get a replacement for flamini 2) we need to make up a stronger sub bench. this may include selling some dickheads out (j.hoyte anyone?). then buy quality

  43. ggunner says:

    ade rvp
    rosicky cesc diaby nasri
    clichy toure metsecker sagna
    almunia

subs: walcott, fabianski, vela, bendtner, eboue, gilberto, denilson

  44. hilkman says:

I don’t reckon Mertesacker has any desire to go to England at this point in his career (needless to say, Werder has no desire to sell him, either, but that might just be a matter of the right price).

  45. Ryan says:

Assuming Nasri is signed he’ll be a right winger in all likelihood. There’s no sense in losing a right winger from the immediate first team and bringing in someone to play on the left wing when we already have a first team player in that position.

    Rosicky, ******, Fabregas, Nasri

    is the most likely midfield.

Yeah Tommygun has been injured so much but according to reports they actually figured out what’s making his injuries occur and are sorting it now, so if that’s true then only some really bad luck should stop him becoming a proper player for us again.

Those saying a lack of depth cost us the season are sadly wrong.

Is it really a lack of depth in the squad when Hleb never scores? Sure Eboue is the worst player in our whole squad, but as an established first choice player who played all season Hleb didn’t pull his weight in goals. If he’d scored an acceptable 10 there’s no reason why we couldn’t have won the league.

Also was depth really a problem at all? Up front our flying Dutchman got injured and his replacement was Eduardo who scored plenty of goals before having his leg broken. That’s nothing but bad luck I’m afraid you can’t expect that. After him was Bendtner who although he’s unpolished, he chipped in with a good number of goals all things considered.

The champions who are so widely credited for having such a deep squad have little more than us. They have loads of central midfielders (check), they have a utility centre back who’s sometimes good (check). The simple fact is if Utd had had Tevez OR Rooney injured in the same way we had our star strikers RvP AND Eduardo injured they wouldn’t have had anything to fall back on. Their famed depth upfront consist of who? Saha…

In midfield they have a great central midfield, sure, we have our fair share of great central midfielders too, especially before we sold Diarra. Outwide they had Ronaldo who scored a ridiculous number of goals and carried the team practically single-handedly. If Ronaldo got injured for 7 weeks how would they have lasted? Do you seriously think between Nani and Giggs they would get anywhere near to replacing his goals? Not even close.

We had Rosicky scoring his fair share out wide, sadly his season got crippled, but if he’d played as often as Ronaldo he’d have score 15 goals this season. Hleb played all season and barely scored.

What’s quite fundamentally obvious is that squad depth is not what caused serious problems for us in general. Yeah the Mickeymouse Cup was pissed away with shit defending but nobody complains when those same players are humiliating opposition teams. In the FA Cup we had Gallas and Toure playing and Toure was shocking (I love the guy but he was awful).

If you look across the board and at the past, the teams which win rarely have great depth. They have a great first team and a few good subs (sounds like us), but if you look at history these teams are normally lucky with injuries. Look at our Invincibles squad. It was pretty small considering how good they were. And like I said who do Utd have up front if they get some real injuries? Shit all. Who do Chelsea have after their best strikers in Drogba and Anelka? Yeah, Shevchenko, quality.

This squad depth talk is a myth and it’s really annoying.

If we are lucky with injuries next season with injuries and decisions we will win the league, if we are unlucky we won’t. That’s how it always goes with the best teams. Chelsea only lost the league before this season because they had ridiculous injuries and Utd didn’t.

  46. Jim says:

Why do people keep mentioning eduardo won’t he be missing for large parts of the season? As I understand it we are bringing in at least three or four players nasir, a defensive midfielder from psg, possibly Ben and the welsh kid. So I dnt think we will be short if we get even two of these players also we have some good English players coming up who will be involved in the first team as well as Vela it seems to me we have a lot going on! You might not all agree with it all but lots of players are on their way in!

    + 22M (AdeBarnDoor to Barca/Milan)
    + 7M (Eboue to Barca)
    + 4M (Hoyte to Villa)
    + 5M (Senderos to Juventus)
    + 3M (Gilberto to Roma)
    ————————
    81M

    Leaving us with:

    GK: Almunia, Fabianski, (Mannone)
    FB: Clichy, Sagna, (Bothelo)
CB: Gallas, Toure, Djourou, (Nordtveit, Miquel)
    WG: Walcott, Rosicky, (Traore, Gibbs)
    DM: Song, Denilson, (Coquelin)
AM: Fabregas, Diaby (is not a defensive midfielder), (Wilshire, Randall)
ST: Bendtner, Van Persie, Eduardo, (Vela)

A very thin squad, despite AW’s protestation to the contrary

And given that England are not in the European Championships, thus

    (a) English player prices will only be 2x their actual worth and not 4x.
    (b) they will have had the summer off to rest.
    (c) they will have a full pre-season, rather than come back in Sept, tired.
    (d) they won’t take long to ‘adjust’ to the Prem, only to London.

I would take advantage of the fact Villa aren’t in Europe (Intertoto maybe?) for Gareth Barry (wants out) and Ashley Young (Arsenal fan). Then I’d go to Man City and get Micah Richards (Arsenal fan) and Joe Hart.

The only foreigner I’d buy would be Karim Benzema of Lyon, who is exactly the kind of striker Arsenal need, two footed, intelligent, focussed and lethal.

Richards (CB) can play at RB comfortably so we have real cover for Sagna
Barry (DM) can play LB (or CB) comfortably so we have real cover for Clichy
Young (LW) has buckets of pace, and 2nd in assists only to Fab4

In fact for comparison, and remember some didn’t play many games this year so that factors into this (EPL stats only):

    7 goals and 20 assists – Fabregas
    6 goals and 2 assists – Rosicknote
    2 goals and 7 assists – Hleb
    3 goals and 2 assists – Flamini
7 goals and 3 assists – Van Persie
    4 goals and 3 assists – Walcott
    4 goals and 5 assists – Eduardo

9 goals and 10 assists – Gareth Barry
8 goals and 17 assists – Ashley Young
21 goals and 7 assists – Karim Benzema

Gareth Barry is likely to cost 10-12M
Ashley Young is likely to cost 16-18M
Micah Richards is likely to cost 20M
Karim Benzema is likely to be about 25M
Joe Hart is likely to be about 6-8M
    ——————————–
    77-83M

Given the current flavour of the month formations deployed by the top3 being a 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation, this would give us

    ————– Almunia or Hart
    —— Richards ————–Gallas
    Sagna —————————- Clichy
    ——– Toure ————- Barry
    —————- Fabregas
    —- v.Persie —————– Young
    —————- Benzema

Subs from: ( Fabianski, Nordtveit, Traore, Gibbs, Rosicky, Walcott, Bendtner, Diaby, Denilson, Vela)

You have massively increased the average height (for/against set-pieces) of the side (Richards, Gallas, Toure, Barry, v.Persie, Young, Benzema all 6ft+), added penetration, assists and goals from both flanks and from centre mid.

The age of the squad remains very low (only the addition of Barry who is over 22) so there is a lot of scope for continuity for this squad, lots of experience to couple with potential, pace and passing. Young and Barry add set-piece alternatives to Fabregas, v.Persie and Rosicky.

I think they should be confident. Remember when Eduardo got badly hurt. All the players were thinking about that and hesitated quite a bit which made us draw. it was not hard looking at that but still i would say to stay confident and don’t worry about other things even if they are REALLY BAD.
    So think about it!!!

    So think about it!!!!

  51. RAHSAGOONER says:

We need a bigger squad for next year because der-brains of teams sometimes injure our players for example, Eduardo’s not coming back ’til October, Rosicky – well who knows when he’s coming back, RVP was injured for the whole season as our MAIN STRIKER, Sagna’s injured and Hleb and Flamini are goners so we need to get cracking. Hopefully, Nasri will come and we’ve got enough youngsters to get into the first – team such as Barazite, Fabianski, Vela oh, and Bendtner’s looking good for Denmark and we’ve seen Walcott when he came on again the Loners (Liverpool), AC and B’ham.

So all our injuries will be covered and none of our confidence will be lost. And hopefully, we’ll get to improve over last season when we were without our main striker for the whole season and were first for 1/2 the season – Arsene sure knows what he’s doing! The only problem is we’ll need someone to pair up with Cesc in the middle as Flamini’s gone! Arsene needs to find someone before the 2008/2009 season! But Arsene will think of somethingj
