Wenger may be partially responsible for getting us into this rut (some responsibility must also lie with the players obviously), but he is also the man to get us out of it in much the same way as he washed the disappointment of 06-07 away with the majority of last season.

I am a arsenal fan for almost a decade. It makes me sad to see arsenal in this state. The main problem is arsene wenger’s descision not to buy players when he should.
First and foremost, the squad lacks depth in strength. Chelsea had almost half or more of their first team players out but still managed to thrash their opponents.
Credit to arsene for saving cost and maximizing the youth talent. But this is not working, as far as champion quality is concerned.
Seems that arsene is more concern in saving money then building a championship team. He stresses on quality or talent rather than experienced but the youths are certainly should not be used as first team.
He should change his mindset in the transfer policy. His record of changing older but less known or normal players into superstars are well known (Henry). Hope he can be like last time or spurge every now and then like liverpool or Man U.

But yes, it is time to consider whether he can take our club further, whether his ideas of 10 years ago and ideals of beautiful football are relevant enough to get the club more success. We all accept when a great player like Dennis has come to the end of the road. Why is it unacceptable for us to question what AW can contribute in 2008/9/10 ? It is not disrepectful to ask this question. It is not good for Arsenal to let our respect and gratitute for previous success affect our chances of future success. If Arsene was showing signs of change, signs that he has learned from previous mistakes, signs he is willing to adapt, I would be more hopeful. But we all know Arsene is stubborn and firmly beleives in ‘his’ way. Yes, this has brought us unprecedented success, but more recently unprecedented frustration and pain…..and I’ve seen Eddie McGoldrick play for us.
