We did’t have Cesc, Adebayor and other injured players – we do not have strength in depth and you can blame Wenger for that but our first choice team would have beaten Citeh. We didn’t actually play that bad, although Clichy was fucking awful and Denilson had a shit game as well. Bendtner is just plain pathetic, he breaks down every sngle attack and it seems no one can make the right decisions in the final third of the pitch. Almunia was poor as well (he hesitated with the first goal and we got away with their offside goal). Nasri was brilliant in the first half and just faded in the second, Djourou played quite well until he gave away the penalty and our centre midfielders couldn’t assert their authority onto the game or pick out any key passes (well, until Ramsey came on…).

The board will not sack Wenger now, or any time in the near future, and rightly so. Our club understands the need for stability, not the short-sighted “we need to turn it around quick, replace the manager” approach of other clubs who never quite seem to break into the top 4 despite constantly saying they will.
I agree, this Arsenal team are not playing well at present, they’re lacking in confidence and are dropping points as a result, but knee-jerk reactions will only make things worse. If Wenger goes, so will a large proportion of the players. I know you seem to say that we should get rid of most of the players, but I’m not really convinced we’d be in a better position with a squad of about 9 or 10 people are you?
Yes the team does need more experience in key areas, but this team is not far off being the best in the country. It might not seem like it at the moment, but confidence is low and the difference that makes to a player/team can’t be overstated.

A lot of fans are saying we cannot let him go as there is no replacement, but I am sure we can find an able replacement. Maybe Villa’s gaffer would be interested in the job. Basically if AW is sticking to failed policy and pride is not allowing him to digress then it is time to part ways.
Until then, we have to accept this is going to be a long tough season and we may not make 4th spot.
