Super Sub Bendtner Strikes Again [Players Ratings & Goals]

Hull 1-3 Arsenal

(HT 0-1)

Cousin 65 Adebayor 30,Nasri 82,Bendtner 86

For the 2nd week in a row Nicklas Bendtner came off the bench to score and change the game for Arsenal.

Its seemed to be the same old Arsenal story of allowing Hull a root back into the game after going 1-0 through a great header from Adebayor.  Hull didn’t create much in the 90min and I can only remember Almunia having one shot on goal to deal with. But surprise surprise the only time they hit the target they scored.

And it looked like a draw until Bendtner controled the ball well and feed it into the feet of Van persie, The dutch wizard passed out to Nasri who drove into the far cornor with his left foot ( Hleb who ) 2-1 to the Arsenal.

And then Bendtner played a lovlely 1-2 with Van Persie ( who had an assist with all 3 goals tonight ) to slot home Arsenals 3 on the night. It could of got even better with Bendtner smashing the post with a header in the final few seconds of the game.

Happy with the 3 points but it doesn’t cover up the cracks. This is not a championship winning team.

My Ratings

  • Almunia 6.5 (Only had 1 shot to deal with all 90mins and it went in. Have to say he had no chance with it, but it would be nice if he kept a clean sheet away from home )
  • Sagna 7.5 ( Mr reliable, Powerful at the back and showed great pace going forward )
  • Clichy 5.5 ( Ripped apart from Mendy, At fault for the goal )
  • Toure 7.0 ( looked pretty solid )
  • Djourou 6.0 ( Looked pretty clumsy tonight, Lucky not to give away a pen )
  • Denilson 6.5 ( Gave the ball way to many times for my liking )
  • Diaby 7.0 ( Didnt see the surging runs, Did ok but not his best game )
  • Nasri 8.0 ( Scored a wonderful goal and showed some nice skills, Who the fu<k is Alex Pleb )
  • Eboue 6.0 ( A few nice runs but he missed a great chance to make it 2-0 and his passing and crossing tonight was poor )
  • Adebayor 6.5 ( Scored a good header but driffed out of the game )
  • R Van Persie 8.5 ( Involed in everything that was good tonight. 3 assists and unlucky not to score with a world class freekick that thunded off the bar ) MOTM
  • Subs
  • Benthner 7.5 ( Great sub by Wenger, He changed the game )

this was a nervy but good win today,im frustrated by wengers reluctance to field vela on a regular basis by taking denilson off and moving nasri into a CAM position?

  2. sam says:

I’d agree with most of the ratings, but surely djourou’s dominant performance deserved a 7? (yes, the penalty claim was there but it would have been unbelievably harsh)

Diaby should be a 5, the man cannot keep possesion and has absolutely no function in our team! This is his chance and he doesn’t seem to give a monkeys!

  3. simplesimon says:

watched that &agree we not gonna win fcuk all like that. Why does it always seem to take a goal against to give us a kick up the arse? Also can we pls get some1 to teach clichy how to defend cos that was superbad.Oh yeah learn how to cross 2 pls.
sorry to moan fcukin good result tho. how us gooners are made to suffer eh? hahaha

  4. John says:

You have given Eboue 6.0, are you having a laugh! The bloke was a complete and utter waste of space, minus 6 might be more accurate. Also, whilst you are right about Denilson giving the ball away too many times, how come he earns 6.5? He s so light weight, he would get robbed of the ball in an under 11s school match on Hackney Marshes. If Wenger is not going to invest in a defensive MF, then it is about time Ramsey got a run ahead of the two muppets mentioned above.

HOW CAN YOU GIVE EBOUE A 6.0. HE WAS AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

HE GAVE THE BALL AWAY LIKE HE WAS GIVING FOOD TO THE HOMELESS!!! IT’S TIME FOR HIM TO GO. HE MADE ME SO NERVOUS WATCHING HIM ON THE BALL!!! IF WE ARE TO BLAME ANY1 FOR THE GOAL WE CONCEDED, WE SHOULD BLAME EBOUE. THE AMOUNT HE GAVE THE BALL AWAY, IT WAS BOUND TO LEAD TO THE HUL SCORING

  6. shotta-gunna says:

Well played Arsenal. Long may we slay the myth that we don’t have grit to fight it out on a cold winter night in the north. My only concern is thatcerain players, Eboue and Adebayor in particular, started ever so brightly and faded badly in the 2nd half. We need more consistency from them.

  7. Ian says:

Wow I can see this is where the fake arsenal fans gather to have a moan. The only player for me who was poor today was eboue, yes clichy was at fault for the goal but he was up against a pretty good player in mendy who has given problems to the other big teams. Denilson played a good game minus a few bad passes. The funny thing to me is arsenal ‘fans’ are only alerted by sublime pieces of skill etc, but fail to realise the unspectacular but effective players such as denilson. Bottom line we won and played well stop bitching

  8. shaun says:

eboue is gone. We have enough in attacking options when our 4 crocked players come back. I hope Arshavin is a smoke screen. We need flamini back or Veloso. We have three weal links, song, denilson and eboue . If wenger sells Bentner … it will be his second biggest mistake(remember flamini).

  9. afc says:

today ade took his first chance well
kolo looked more like his normal self
sagna must be the most consistent right back out there
samir took his goal well and is getting bk 2 wot he was like start of the season, due to no injuries recently
well plyed to all those above, but is it just me or is RVP carrying our team atm?

  10. Norm says:

Eboue must be performing some unmentionable pleasure on Arsene Wenger at night. Because there is absolutely no reason for Eboue to be playing for a team like Arsenal.

  11. Norm says:

Maybe Alexander Song also performs for Arsene after hours and this might be Songs exceptional talant, because it sure isn’t Soccer ability.

  12. Kasai3 says:

Diffence action should be started from the mid-field! This was a big reason of their win today. Why didn’t they do like this from the beginning of the season.
